What do you enjoy most about working at DDL & Co. in St. Catharines?

I am grateful to have found a company who prioritizes and understands the importance of work/life balance. Working with professionals who are willing to help you grow and answer questions has also been a great benefit. I appreciate that DDL & Co. has a hybrid model of working as I tend to focus better at home. Yet DDL & Co. still manages to foster a culture of connectedness with all of  the outside activities they host for us. I have enjoyed getting to know my colleagues and look forward to continuing to grow and connect.

Why did I choose an accounting career?

I love numbers and puzzles. I enjoy analyzing the numbers and learning more about each business I get to work with. I enjoy assisting our clients with an important part of their business by maintaining and assisting them with their bookkeeping.

I have over 3 years of payroll expertise, including all government remittances, WSIB, and union dues. I have over 4 years of bookkeeping experience for multiple industries including: restaurants, wineries, farms, real estate, medical and construction/landscaping.

Favourite hobbies:

When I am not working I enjoy creating music by playing the guitar, piano and singing. I also enjoy reading, writing, painting and generally being creative. My green thumb is to be desired but I enjoy trying to keep my plants alive! I love exploring and learning from new places and experiences and enjoy the antics of my cats, and hanging out with my family.

Cheetos, Sunchips, Doritos and throw out the pretzels.
