DDL & Co. Area of Specialty

Tax would definitely be my area of specialty as I have been preparing a variety of returns (T1s, T2s, T4s/T5s, etc.) for about 4-5 years now.  I also specialize in responding to various CRA requests such as post assessments, reviews and audit/examinations relating to personal, corporate, HST/GST and payroll accounts.

What do you enjoy most about working at DDL & Co. in St. Catharines?

My favourite part about working at DDL & Co. would be the work environment and team overall.  The corporate culture and events/sponsorships that DDL & Co. puts on for staff and the community make it more than just the standard clock-in at 9am, clock-out at 5pm kind of job.  When it comes to the work environment the huge amount of flexibility and allowance for hybrid work allows for a perfect work/personal life balance.

Why did you choose an accounting career?

I would say that the most important part about being an accountant is to be extremely thorough but also being able to look at the bigger picture when performing a task.  Being able to take that step back and realize what the overall impact will be allows you to have a fuller and more rounded idea of what to do.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing volleyball, soccer, working out, trying new foods/restaurants and spending time with friends and family.

Modern Family for sure.  I could watch it on repeat and not get bored!
